Last Day of January

Image
Today I went to Women's Bible Study.  It was good to see everyone.  My heart goes out to Maggie who is going through things with her marriage.  She is a big deal where she works in Seattle at Starbucks.  We all went out to lunch at Starbucks near the church on her.  It was special.

Mom's 91st

Today my mom would have been 91 yrs old.  She passed away in 2017.  My brother's not happy with her right now.  He in a way let me know he didn't want to see an acknowledgment of her birthday on Facebook.  For his sake, I didn't.  It's not necessary right now.  I am sure she's good with where she is now in heaven. This weekend both of the teams I hoped would win didn't.  Now the Chiefs and 49s are in the Superbowl.  In this case, I will support the Chiefs. Today Kari and I went to Ikea.  It deserves its own post.  So look out.

Secrets Come Out Today (maybe)

Today will be interesting because my brother David is meeting up with a lady on his 23 and me.  He recently took it to confirm who his father's side is.  I always felt it was an affair she had with my friend's father she worked for in the 60s.  But she claimed it was someone else named Dennis Miller.  Some guy she met.  She had problems in the 60s that lead to my parent's divorce.  We know about this due to David's custody being challenged by my mom and grandmother vs my dad.  Mom won due to this information.  Anyway, 50 plus years later, there is the technology to find the truth.  My beliefs were wrong, I am sad to say.  I would have liked my friend to be family.  But it seems Dennis Miller may be the answer.  David is meeting a lady from that family today.  Family secrets revealed.

Angel Kitty

One thing I am grateful for is my cats.  The other day I was a little blue and Toby came to me, jumped up on the bed to give me head butts (hugs) and licks on my nose.  I could tell he could sense my feeling down.  He was an angel kitty.  A blessing.  I couldn't help but smile.  He laid down and stayed with me until I fell asleep.

Making My Calls

Yesterday went by without a post.  I did get dressed and made 3 spiders.  A total of 12.  But honestly, that's it.  Kari's friend has Covid and it's been around plus other things, so I have cut back on going out.  I didn't go square dancing last night either.  Sad but true.  I am trying to be wise.   Today my guts told me to stay home from bible study too.  I am only going over to Trader Joe's this afternoon with a mask.  Oh well.
