My Retirement Journey

Today I spent the day with my bible study ladies at Rebecca's house.  We talked about so many things.  One being an event on April 13th for women.  My creative juices flowed. It was a lovely day.

I can feel spring in the air, even though it snowed a little last night.  Made the primroses not happy.  They are better now because we brought them inside.  Brrrrrrrr I went to the Lydia's Ladies luncheon today.  They had 5 soups, salad, and cake.  The message was on the Lord as my shepherd which I really liked. I saw Char and gave her a pot stake for spring.  I am giving one to each bible study lady tomorrow.   I also met Melinda.  She did Young Life and recognized the boys.

That's about how it is too.  Except I don't get to stay in the past.  I have to try to use modern technology.   Sunday Kari and I went to church.  Then we went to Maple Valley.  She bought some plants from a plant lady.  It always reminds me of drug deals... going to a parking lot with cash to get it.  But there's a whole plant 🪴 society out there.   We also went to the Goodwill.  I bought a big clock with a removable back where I can store money or jewlery.  A copper cat 🐈 trivet, and a beautiful jar that was a personal birthday gift.  It has the person's name and birthday as well as who gave it.  Interesting.  And so pretty. Today I was going to go with Kari on errands but since one was to the Kent Nursery, I held back.  She loves to look at the new inventory and I get to where I want to go.  I don't want to ruin it for her.  I love that she loves plants.  ❤️ 

Can you believe next week is March?  Thank God.  November is ok due to Thanksgiving and Christmas coming on.  December has Christmas.  January is dark and cold.  February is a little better with the hope of spring around the corner.   Today I went to have lunch with Shawn.  It was great.  I hope to again soon.  He helped me with bead organization.  I was inspired and went home to buy:  Wish me luck.

Today I went to Tacoma for a doctors appointment.  I dislike going there because I get lost so easily.  I have to use Maps every time.  I am so happy when I get back home.  I need a nap.

Sunday was a really busy day.  I felt it was time to return to church in person and all 4 of us were there.  I introduced my family to my friends. Next was Costco to get Regan's cake for her grad party. At 2 pm we were at Tim and Angie's at the party.  It was great seeing everyone again.   Monday I got tires and an oil change for my car.  We also checked on the rebate we got in September.  I have to call the Refund Center tomorrow. Today I got the $189 rebate and off to Lowe's we went.  We bought things for the house and garden.  I plan to plant seeds tomorrow. 

Elaina is Riley's older sister that took her life February 21, 2021.  Three years have passed and her passing still is painful for us.

Well, the week went by pretty fast.  I was consumed with all of news.  Yesterday T was told to pay 355 million for the fraud he committed in New York.  Why is this guy running for president?  Anyway, he's going down with being found to be guilty. Valentines Day was Wednesday and we had our bible study pot luck.  Thursday was Young at Heart. I've made about 10 spiders.  Still trying to decide what spring time item to make out of them. Mostly my planning has worked.  I've done more.  ✔️ Always room for improvement.
