Student Affairs Pot Luck 2023


The Studenr Affairs had their pot luck today.  I was surprised that it was downstairs in the lunchroom and not in the Rainier Room.  Many said the RR wasn't reserved on time and things were different cause I  retired.  I reserved rooms for years... 

It was nice anyway especially to see everyone.  Irine gave me a mug.  I saw Lonnie who told me a car ran into her in a cross walk November 25th.  I also saw Shawn and gave him one of the Christmas Spiders.  

It was fun to be with everyone. The phoro is from years past at this event.

Didn't post yesterday but I was going to mention how beautiful this time of year is.  September with summer slipping away and long shadows, October is brilliant with color, and November is subtle and subdued with coziness.  As the wind or rain chases out the last of the leaves, one can see winter coming in.  I am grateful for this time of year and enjoy each moment.

Christmas Time

The fall season of orange, gold, and brown is suddenly over.  Pumpkins are put away.  But we continue to give thanks. It's been a lovely autumn.  October was brilliant with color in the trees.  November has been subdued but cozy.  Beautiful sunny days were gorgeous. Kari has been sick this week and didn't go to work Tuesday and Wednesday.  She's been left alone to sleep.   We are looking forward to decorating for Christmas.  We already had a few Christmas things out mixed in with the Thanksgiving decorations at our house.

Catching Up

Sunday was a really busy day.  I felt it was time to return to church in person and all 4 of us were there.  I introduced my family to my friends. Next was Costco to get Regan's cake for her grad party. At 2 pm we were at Tim and Angie's at the party.  It was great seeing everyone again.   Monday I got tires and an oil change for my car.  We also checked on the rebate we got in September.  I have to call the Refund Center tomorrow. Today I got the $189 rebate and off to Lowe's we went.  We bought things for the house and garden.  I plan to plant seeds tomorrow.
