I Did It My Way
I went to school when typing was a class. My dad was into women's liberalism when it came to me. He did not want me taking a full semester of typing because he saw it as the way to become a secretary. He wanted me to go to college.
I decided to take typing during a summer class. I did know in college I would need to type papers.
Thank goodness I did. I not only could type my papers, but computers came into existence, which we couldn't see coming in the 1970s. This is one time I did my own thing and didn't follow his beliefs.
