Loki

A lot of life has happened since I last blogged in Spring 2024 went I was sick with Covid... Since then, Brady got his 2nd AA or AS degree, in December 2024 we lost our cat Leon and we adopted Loki, Riley earned his Bachelors degree with high honors, Brady is working towards his Bachelors, Kari is still at the DOL, and I keep working on my Retirement Journey.

This week, I began to think about blogging again.  Then, today on Facebook my cousin I saw my cousin posted she's returning to writing and blogging, and later the same day, a woman in one of my groups said she's going to start journalizing.  How many signs do I need?  So, here I am.  

I write as I would write in journal,  but to an audience.  I am aware of subjects in blogging, and not boring anyone for too long.  This is my reentry into this blog.  I will post again tomorrow and get started.  Have a great day!

Leon - Family

We have two kitties.  You've met Toby.  This is Leon.  We rescued him in 2011.  He'll be 12 years old.  He's has been nervous and scared all his life.  We actually found him hiding under his little box in his cage.  It took him years to be truly loving towards us.  He acts like a big brother to Toby.  You can find them playing at 5 am, or Leon licking Toby's face, or Leon backing off his food so Toby can have some.  He loves to go to curl up with Kari or lay at the foot (on top) of my bed.  He's our senior cat.  We love him ❤️

Goodbye August Hello September

Yesterday was Young at Heart.  Then the boys and I went to Denny's to get our birthday breakfast.  It was fun to spend time with both boys at the table. I believe we should do that more often.   I then dropped off library books and went to Trades Joes.  Later I took a good nap.  Wednesday I didn't do much at all.  I did begin to reassess goals extra due to the month and season changing.

Brady's Flowers

Riley started something with giving flowers.  Today Brady and I (Brady drove) to Trader Joe's and he bought his friend Angel some flowers.  It was all him.  He thought Riley was a good roll model.  He'll give them to her tomorrow at a BBQ at her family's house.
